Half way done cooking...

A BOY!!!

he is very healthy and growing just they way he should.

He weighs just about 1 pound.

He seems to be a titch short with a big belly :)

He was a little U/S shy, not so much with his boy parts, but more with his face. he didn't care too much to have his face looked at, so he kept his hands right up in his face the whole time.

We saw him move!! I feel him all the time, but I actually saw him move :)

We're so excited and May can't come fast enough.

LOVE this little foot :)

shawkinawe

just for you Jana

This is me at 17 weeks and 4 days.
I am still working on getting out of the "is that weight you're gaining or a baby you're growing" phase. i'm getting closer, but not quite.

I haven't been sick for a few weeks now, not that I ever got all that sick.

4pm no longer feels like midnight. neither does 830. and really, neither does midnight. 1am is now my midnight. wahoo for not being so tired!!

I bought a bella band and LOVE it. I think i'll be able to use it instead of maternity pants for at least a few more months.

I own, thanks to my mom, 2 cute maternity shirts.

As of yesterday, November 26, Thanksgiving night, I have felt MOVEMENT!! it is so exciting!! i felt baby a few more times today. i love it. it's starting to fee a bit more real now.

I have now had 3 dreams that it is a boy.

we find out in 2 weeks, 2 days and 15 hours the flavor of our baby!!

What do you think we'll have? I'm pretty curious, so please, take the poll on the side of my blog :)

My Man

I need to take a minute to brag about my man. I am so beyond lucky I get to be with him for all of eternity. I am so glad that he is my baby's daddy. I know he is going to be the very best dad. I love him so much.

This is just a few of the things he has done for me lately.

we have a patio in the back of our house, but the only access we have to it was a bunch of rocks. you couldn't walk barefoot on it and it sucked trying to pull a full dumpster across them. So Adam took a whole day and fixed our problem.

Before

clearing a spot for the path

Ta da! final product.

He did such a good job!! it took him all day, but it looks SO good!!

Then today, with some help from our neighbor, Adam beautified and Holiday-fied the outside of our house.

The lights are strait and easy to turn on and off. I am so proud and grateful to call him mine.

I haven't taken pictures (yet) but really need to, of what he did for me Wednesday. His sister and family were coming over to see our house, and the house looked much less than presentable. He didn't have work that day, but I only hoped for him to shove things around to look more decent before I got home from work. boy was I wrong!!! The dishes were clean and put away, our bedroom (worst room of the house) was CLEAN and vacuumed, the baby's room was straitened up and vacuumed, one of the two junk rooms was made into a usable spare bedroom. Our bathroom was clean, including the tub, mirrors and counter top. On top of all of that, he washed ALL of the laundry, then sat with me while I folded it, he even helped me fold it. I was so shocked and am SO grateful!!

I absolutely could not ask for a better husband and best friend. I am so lucky. I love you honey!!

remember?

Dear Adam,
remember this day?
remember how it was exactly 1 year 1 month and 6 days ago?
remember how much fun we had?
remember how many times we kissed?
it was a lot.
probably at least a million times.
i loved every one.
remember how in love we were?remember how we promised to love each other forever?
remember how we're holding up our promises?
I love you more today,
than i ever have.
bring on forever, there is no one else i would rather spend it with.

Yours always and forever,
Erin

The Forgotten

Remember that movie? the one where the family loses their little boy, and the therapist convinces the dad that they never had a kid and tries to convince the mom that she never had a kid and that it was all in her head?

I'm a titch afraid that is going to happen to me. That I'm going to keep going on, day to day, by myself, thinking "Adam is still on a camping trip, he'll be home in a few days". Then one day, someone will be brave enough to tell me that Adam was never there, that he was just the best dream i ever had, but I was too happy at the thought of "him" coming home, that no one could tell me the truth. And then I'll be crushed and sad and devastated.

Wouldn't that be awful? It makes me sad to think about. So i'm going to continue being happy and telling myself he's coming home in a day or two.

Please see this post to know the connection between TV and my brain.

You know you watch too much TV when...

  • when shipping packages you think "i wonder if the cops in [insert state here] would call me if something happened to this person and consider me a suspect because they found my DNA on the licked part of the envelope
  • you wonder what someone is saying and you think to yourself "if i were Michael Weston, i could make a bug using a cell phone and a hangar"
  • you notice what you touch and wonder if a crime will be commited and you will be called in because your finger prints were found at the scene of the crime.
  • you notice cars that are "following" you and wonder "why?"
  • you wonder if other cars that don't seem to be following you, really are, cuz they are just that good at following from different distances.
  • you get the hicuups and think "merediths step mom died from hiccups!!" and hope it doesn't happen to you too.
  • when you find a stray hair on your shirt, pick it off and put it on the ground, you, again, wonder if it will make it's way into a crime investigation
don't judge. they aren't serious thoughts, but they are thoughts all the same. my name is erin and i'm a tv-holic.

Boise

This last weekend, Adam and I decided to take off for the weekend. Boise is one of our favorite places to go, so off we went. My sister has a friend in Boise, so we let her tag along so she could meet up with her friend. We floated the Boise River Friday afternoon. The river was wide and deep enough and not too cold. it was so much fun to just sit back and relax in our kayak as we floated down the beautiful river.

If you didn't know, we are Boise State fans. So when we found out they were letting people do self tours, we knew we had to go. I think there were 5 points on the self tour, but we only made it to the Blue Turf, which is all we really cared about anyway.
point one is at the Bronco Shop
point two is the hall of fame. in the showcase is the football from the amazing fiesta bowl game.

This is Adam doing a 40 yard dash. I love the excited little boy you can see in him in the last picture.
Adam is so proud to say he's from Boise. I learn more about him every time we go there. It's so fun to see him get so giddy every time we go back. I love him :)
